People and Music. Patricia’s first career choice provides an insight into who she is. In her mid-teens, she made her first significant career decision: a life as a professional musician (pianist or harpist), or a career working with people. She chose ‘people’ though she had no concept of what this would bring. Music and the arts remain at the core of who she is.
A Masters degree in Psychology, intensive training in Counselling, and many years of listening and observing have enabled her to fine-tune her intuition and enhance her understanding of the closely entwined relationship of culture, values and behaviour.
Prior to her transfer to London, Patricia led her own international Executive Search Consultancy based in Sydney. She became the adviser and confidant of her C-suite clients as they steered their organisations through complex challenges and unpredictable events. Her clients around the world continue to value her ability to grasp subtleties, her gift of insight, her exceptional skill in assessing people and situations, and her deep understanding of issues.
She contributes to the broader society as a Volunteer. With the Prince’s Trust, Patricia is a ‘Next Mentor’, bringing her knowledge and experience to assist young people in the enterprise programme. At Tate Britain, as a Visitor Host, she helps introduce visitors from Britain and around the world to the Gallery and, occasionally, gives short talks about paintings she selects.
